Gentiva Hospice is looking for certified pet therapy owners who would like to share the joy of their pet with patients who have a terminal illnesses. Most agree the unconditional love of an animal can warm a heart and inspire the spirit. We are interested in having volunteers share that love with our patients. Pets must be current certified therapy animals, we do not provide training and up to date on shots. We will work with your schedule!
Orientation Schedule and Visiting Schedule is flexible and will fit into your schedule.

Description
For over 40 years we have provided compassionate care to those we serve during the end of life's journey. As a leader in hospice care our dedicated staff feel called to support our patients. Our spiritual care staff work with many local faith organizations to deliver spiritually oriented hospice care to patients of all faiths.
Our interdisciplinary team includes medical professionals, social workers, spiritual care and bereavement professionals. Our dedicated volunteers provide companionship, pet and music therapy, personalized notes and reflection pages as well as special event support.
