Purpose:

The Duncanville Public Library is searching for a committed and enthusiastic individual to volunteer as a Financial Literacy Teacher. In this role, you will educate community members on essential financial skills, including budgeting, saving, investing, and debt management. We are seeking someone with a solid grasp of financial concepts and a genuine desire to contribute to the community’s financial well-being.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Create and present engaging financial literacy lessons/workshops tailored to various age groups and backgrounds
  • Develop educational materials and handouts to support financial literacy education
  • Be willing and able to answer any questions patrons may have regarding financial literacy
  • Ability to simplify complex financial concepts for diverse audiences

Time Commitment:

  • One day a week for four weeks
  • One to two hours a week

*Previous teaching or coaching experience preferred, with strong communication skills.
