Event Volunteers Needed for Family Reading Time

ReDefiners World Languages needs at our Family Reading Time event on

• Thursday, October 24nd from 5:30PM - 9:00PM
• Thursday, December 19nd from 5:30PM - 9:00PM

This is a family friendly community event that takes place bi-monthly in Temple Terrace, FL.

**Please note: The event will take place behind the church in the Fellowship Hall. As the church may be dark at night, follow the map to find the exact location.**

Family Reading Time is a signature event that is meant to encourage literacy and learning by bringing families together to read culturally diverse stories that captivate the imagination of readers of all ages. This signature event creates opportunities for community building, cultivates a love for reading, and inspires an appreciation for cultural difference.

Event Details:

• At the event we have a reader, reading to the audience on stage.
• We also have 2 break out arts and crafts activities that the children rotate through after the dictated book reading.
• After the activity, each child receives a copy of the book and there is a group reading together led by the reader to close out the event.

This event usually has a turn out of 20-40 attendees.

• Arts & Crafts Activity Facilitator for K-5th Graders

• Food & Refreshments Distribution

• Sign Placement Outside for directing traffic to the proper entrance and event location
