Treasured Pets Foundation (TPF) is a registered 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization incorporated in Florida. We are located in the St. Petersburg - Clearwater, FL area. The organization was formed in 2021 for the sole purpose of disrupting and combatting Economic Euthanasia. We are dedicated to empowering pet and companion animal parents with the knowledge and resources needed to enhance and extend the lives of their beloved canine and feline companions. While we’ve made outstanding progress since 2021, Treasured Pets still has scores of work to do. The problem of Economic Euthanasia is enormous, and the solution complex -- requiring considerable funds and abundant human resources. We need your support to expedite the release of our innovative programs intended to disrupt and alleviate Economic Euthanasia. The Digital Marketing & PR Manager role is vital to our organization's mission and success. Accordingly, the position will convert from an unpaid volunteer role to a paid career when the company is solvent.
Title: Digital Marketing & PR Manager
Pay: Unpaid position that will convert to a paid salary of $49,000-$54,000
Time Commitment: 5+ hours per week with a min. commitment of six-months
Shift and Schedule: You decide, Monday - Friday, Weekends as needed
Location: Remote/Work-from-Home
Reports to: Volunteer Coordinator, President, COO, Directors

Description: We are looking for a passionate Digital Marketing & PR Manager who is self-driven to own the project execution and analysis that helps drive a best-in-class digital marketing program. As the first Digital Marketing & PR Manager at Treasured Pets, this is an incredible opportunity to make a huge impact and drive new and repeat donors that facilitate the launch of programs and take them to the next level. You will also be key in communicating our mission, vision, and values to our target audience, journalists, animal advocates, and other essential communicators and communication platforms. The ideal candidate possesses strong writing skills, is an effective communicator, embraces teamwork, and loves animals.
Digital Marketing & PR Manager Position Summary: As a digital marketing and PR manager at Treasured Pets, you will be responsible for communicating key messages and promoting a positive image of the company. Day-to-day duties may include writing press releases, liaising with local and national press, and coordinating messaging on our website, social media, newsletters, email, and print media.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Planning and executing PR campaigns and strategies
- Monitoring the public and media's opinions and perceptions of the organization
- Writing and editing press releases, leaflets, brochures, speeches, newsletters, websites and social media content
- Utilizing all forms of media, including national, regional, and trade press, to build, maintain, and manage the portrayal of the company
- Acting as a spokesperson for the company’s brand
- Training employees on how to handle media inquiries and press interviews
- Developing good working relationships with the media and liaising with the press on potential news stories
- Working with Social Media and Fundraising managers on select social media posts
- Devising and coordinating photo opportunities
- Monitoring publicity and press coverage
- Coordinating and collaborating with the social media and fundraising departments on paid and unpaid advertising.
Required Skills and Abilities
- Excellent communicator, storyteller, problem solver, and creative and strategic thinker, able to keep track of many moving parts with competing deadlines.
- A team player and people person who builds strong relationships and has the skills to resolve conflict while still maintaining important and effective relationships.
- Proven ability to turn ideas into actionable and measurable plans.
- Ability to give and receive feedback well.
- Track record of working effectively across multiple differences (race, gender, age, language, orientation, urban/rural, etc.).
- Care deeply about animals, more specifically dogs and cats.
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Education, Qualifications, & Experience
- Bachelor's in marketing, communications, business administration, or a related field
- 3-5 years of digital marketing experience (with SEO preferred)
- Demonstrated excellence in project management
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Experience with digital & marketing analytics
- Experience with successful utilization of social media networking tools
- Demonstrable experience leading and managing SEO/SEM, marketing databases (e.g., Salesforce), email promotions, and social media marketing
- Highly creative with experience in identifying target audiences and devising digital campaigns that engage, inform, and motivate
- Experience in optimizing landing pages and user funnels
- Experience in setting up and optimizing Google AdWords campaigns
- An eye for design and experience with layout (preferred)
- Experience in the nonprofit sector (Preferred)
- An understanding of the donor journey and cycle (Preferred)
