Mission Statement

The Alumni Initiative is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing access to higher education for underprivileged children in grades Pk-12th. Our mission is to create scholarships that enable these students to attend private & catholic schools and receive a quality education they might not otherwise have access to. By providing scholarships & educational resources we aim to empower these children to achieve their academic and personal goals, and ultimately make a positive impact on their communities and the world.

Description

The Alumni Initiative, established in 2023 by dedicated alumni Leandra Garcia and Cierra Adkins of Gesu School, is a non-profit organization with a clear mission. Our purpose is to give back by assisting students in need, providing them with the opportunity to attend Catholic or private schools for a quality education.

We are on a mission to expand our team, aiming to reach more students and support parents in securing better educational opportunities. We believe that these opportunities significantly enhance a child's chances of attending college and becoming impactful contributors to their communities.

As our organization grows, we have ambitious plans to establish a comprehensive resource center. This center will serve as a hub for students, offering both virtual and physical support. It will provide tutoring and introduce students to enriching hobbies, offering alternatives to potentially negative influences in their lives and helping them stay on a positive path.

At the heart of our efforts are scholarships. We are actively fundraising to provide students with scholarships, ensuring they have access to the educational resources necessary to thrive. The Alumni Initiative is dedicated to supporting these students in every possible way, ensuring they have the tools and opportunities needed to succeed.
