Join our volunteer team and hand boxed lunches to oncology patients receiving infusion treatments at the Rutgers Cancer Institute-the only NCI-designated cancer center in New Jersey. The time commitment is two hours once a week and this service will compassionately enhance the lives of so many patients. If you want to make a difference in the lives of individuals undergoing treatment for cancer in a high-tech care facility offering panoramic window views of New Brunswick, please join our team We know you will be glad you did.

Description
Volunteering at Rutgers Cancer Institute is more than just providing service; every volunteer impacts the life of a cancer patient and helps to embody our culture of caring.
Our volunteers help to spread our vision of expanding accessing to compassionate cancer care and engendering hope to each and every patient, caregiver, and their families that come through the door.
Our volunteers-
- Greet, escort and provide information to patients and visitors
- Serve as "Bling! Angels" or manage a "Comfort Cart"
- Run errands/make deliveries throughout the facility
- Assist with support services in clinical and non-clinical areas
- Provide administrative/clerical support
- Assist with special projects
As a volunteer, you become a member of a dedicated team that provides the highest quality patient care services at New Jersey’s only National Cancer Institute-designated Comprehensive Cancer Center.
