Looking for volunteers to help out on Saturday in our organic gardens and community orchard at Weaver Creek Park. All produce we harvest supports local low-income families. This is a fun family-friendly volunteer opportunity.
We'd love to have you join us!
- From 10 a.m. - 1 p.m. on Wednesdays and Thursdays.
- From 10 a.m. - 2pm on Saturdays (labor day and other major holiday weekends excepting).
Take home produce for helping during harvests!
We need help with the following:
- General Gardening (weeding, raking, harvesting).
- Orchard Projects, mulching fruit trees, fertilizing, help irrigating.
- Various orchard projects; for example, we want to revitalize vineyards and staple chicken wire to existing wooden fences to keep rabbits out of the grapes.
Your help goes a long way towards helping create a beautiful community space.
At this location, volunteers will have access to shelter, clean water, and restrooms. We recommend each volunteer bring the following:
Water bottle
Hat
Gloves
Sunglasses
Closed toe shoes
Clothing layers/rain jacket if need be
