We are searching for experienced Reiki practitioners willing to provide to support to hospice patients in Clinton County or Northern Franklin County (generally north of St. Regis Falls).
Sessions are to be provided in a patient's residence on a voluntary basis as part of a care plan established by Hospice of the North Country.
Sessions are likely not to exceed 1-2x a month, if requested. Volunteer would need to be willing and able to travel and provide support in a patient's home.
Volunteer training and orientation required to include background checks, medical requirements, and hospice and healthcare related training requirements.

Description
Hospice is about caring for those who are facing the challenges at the end-of-life. Those challenges may be physical, emotional, psychosocial, and spiritual. Hospice cares for the whole person and their loved ones, supporting them with skilled nursing, family services, spiritual support, volunteer services and bereavement and grief support.
Hospice of the North Country offers a wide range of services for patients, their families, and caregivers. We know that each patient’s situation is unique, which is why we offer individualized care for patients with illnesses such as cancer, heart disease, Alzheimer's, or respiratory disease.
Care can be provided at home, or in a nursing home or other facility. Our services are covered by Medicare, Medicaid, Veterans Benefits, and most insurance plans. Our specialized interdisciplinary team consists of nurses, an LPN, social workers, a chaplain, and volunteers-all trained to help you.
