We are looking for volunteers who are willing to traverse Good Shepherd Hospice's coverage area! Medicare requires that our documentation must be placed in the nursing facility records in a timely manner. We could use some assistance with getting this documentation delivered to the nursing facilities. This volunteer opportunity would afford you the socialization of nursing facility staff members, and some of their residents! Please contact me if you're interested and I can go into greater detail with what this role entails.

Description
COMPASSIONATE ABOUT CARE. passionate about life.
At Good Shepherd Hospice, we believe that health care is more than just a diagnosis and a treatment. It's a daily exercise in making this moment...this today...the very best it can be. We're here to help our patients achieve that goal - physically, mentally, spiritually...and for whatever that means individually.
We believe that in the passing of a person’s life, there are also extraordinary opportunities for compassion, reconciliation, spiritual healing, and renewal.
Our Volunteers play a vital role in our Hospice program. From working in the office, to creating special projects at home, to visiting to provide companionship and ease lonliness, Good Shepherd Hospice Volunteers make special moments happen again and again for the patients and families we serve.
