We are looking for a volunteer school office assistant for our German Saturday School in Emeryville. Great for volunteer hours. Responsibilities include:

  • Greeting and checking in students
  • Assisting the principal and teachers with office tasks, handing out teaching materials etc.
  • Supporting social events such as coffee hour, snack time, etc.
  • German language skills a big plus (language learner ok)

1 Shift

  • Sat Sep 07, 2024 - 09:00 AM to 12:30 PM PST - FULL
    The shift is every Saturday AM during the school year. A volunteer should be available to help at least 1-2 Saturdays per month or more.

Description

The German School of the East Bay (GSEB) was founded in 1962 and incorporated in 1966. The school is located in Emeryville, California. GSEB is committed to teaching the language and culture of German-speaking countries to our multicultural students from around the Bay, and is a non-profit school run by an all-volunteer board. Our teachers are mostly native speakers who offer a wonderful spectrum of backgrounds and teaching experience to their 100+ students.
GSEB offers classes for kids and adults (beginner to advanced levels) on Saturday mornings from 9:30am to 12:00pm. The school year starts mid-September and ends mid-May.
