About ILORE TALKS

Location:

Afe Babalola university campus, Ado-Ekiti, Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State 360101, NG

Mission Statement

ILORE TALKS (pronounced ; ilaw) seeks to create safe discussion communities on campus where university students exchange ideas and discuss issues that impact them. Nigerian universities as first targets and then beyond.

Description

ILORE started in my office as a lecturer at Afe Babalola University in 2020. With just four students then, I discovered that university students had issues (political, social, environmental etc) they wanted to talk about but didn’t have the platform; in other words students want to be part of general discussion and shape society through their ideas but didn’t find safe places to do so.

Today, we have a two established discussion platforms at Afe Babalola University, Ado-Ekiti, powered by ILORE. 86 talks held so far and scaling to other universities in Nigeria.
