Administrative Assistant/General Manager

Youth Arts Assemblies in Schools (YAAS) is a newly formed non-profit organization dedicated to bringing arts enrichment programs to schools. We are seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to join our team as an Administrative Assistant/General Manager. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone passionate about the arts and education to play a vital role in our organization's development.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide administrative support to the Founder/Director, including scheduling, email correspondence, and document preparation.
  • Assist with the development and implementation of organizational policies and procedures.
  • Manage financial tasks, such as bookkeeping, budgeting, and grant writing.
  • Coordinate volunteer recruitment, training, and management.
  • Help plan and execute fundraising events and campaigns.
  • Maintain accurate records and files.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • This opportunity will not demand fixed hours and is flexible with availability.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, non-profit management, or a related field preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience in administrative support or general management, preferably in a non-profit setting.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Passion for the arts and education.

We are a startup non-profit and will be bringing music and arts assemblies to qualified schools on a pro bono basis to enhance cultural awareness and bring joy and the love of learning the arts to every child.
