Want to help plant trees in your community?
We will be hosting community tree plantings in parks and along boulevards in multiple cities this fall. Volunteers should be prepared for: some lifting, bending over, kneeling on the ground, walking over uneven terrain, pushing a wheelbarrow with mulch or tools, and using hand tools like a saw and pruners.
We will start with a tree planting demonstration, and the planting will be supervised by friendly and knowledgeable Tree Trust staff. We will provide work gloves and light snacks. Please bring a water bottle, and wear durable outdoor clothes that can get dirty! Closed-toe shoes or boots are preferred. Families and small groups are welcome! No previous experience needed.

Mission Statement
Our mission is to transform lives and landscapes by engaging people to build skills for meaningful careers, inspiring people to plant trees, and making our community a greener, healthier place to live.
Description
At Tree Trust, we believe trees are superheroes. They cool our neighborhoods from the hot summer sun, soak up storm water, reduce crime, and lead the way in helping reduce the effects of climate change in our communities.
This year, our goal is to plant and distribute 10,500 trees in the Twin Cities Metro Area. This past spring, we had 16 tree planting events and held tree distributions in 9 cities! Join us this fall as we continue our work in growing a healthy urban forest!
