Interested in Vintage Items? Sustainable Consumption? Developing Long Lasting Relationships? Supporting Multiple Local Austin Nonprofits? If you answered YES to any of the above, then Next-To-New Consignment might be the volunteer spot for you!
Who We Are:
Next-To-New is Austin’s ONLY non-profit consignment shop. We are a volunteer-run ministry of St. David’s Episcopal Church. We serve the local Austin community by way of yearly monetary grants, career advancement opportunities, and environmental conscientiousness. While we are a ministry of St. David’s Church, we welcome ALL, regardless of gender, age, race, sexual orientation, spiritual/religious beliefs or range of ability.
What You’ll Do:

Consignment Intake
Data Entry
Tagging
Merchandising
Cashier
Jewelry Attendant
In addition to these positions, we are also looking for interns to fill a number of roles. Event coordinator, Vintage Fashion Specialist, and Sustainability Consultant are a few examples. If you are interested in an internship, please email parysh.bailey@gmail.com for more information.
Impact of the Role:
50% of the proceeds earned at Next-To-New go back to the local Austin community in the form of a number of $10,000 grants. Volunteers in any position impact the community by helping the shop achieve this goal. Below are a few organizations that have received the Next-To-New grant:

Next to New is a one-of-a-kind consignment shop in Austin, TX, where everyone-regardless of age, ethnicity, or spiritual beliefs- can come together to create a warm, welcoming space that feels like home.
As a nonprofit, volunteer-run consignment shop, we rely on passionate individuals like you to help us make a difference in our community. We’re looking for volunteers who can commit to at least 3 hours a month, but if you can’t quite meet that minimum, don’t worry! We’re flexible and happy to work with your schedule.
Whether you’re looking to contribute to a meaningful cause or simply want to be part of a supportive community, Next to New is the perfect place for you. Your time and effort will help us continue supporting local initiatives and creating a positive impact in Austin.
