Do you have some free time and would like to volunteer to help others?
At Heartland Hospice we are looking for people who can bring their talents and heart to our patients and their families.
Do you play music? Enjoy reading outloud? Have a service animal that is trained for visits? Do you do yardwork like mowing, raking, pulling weels and shoveling snow? There are so many useful talents that can bring happiness to a dying patient and relief for their family.
If you are interested in donating a couple hours a week, lets talk!
Drug test and Backgroung are required. We take care of that.
Must be able to drive.
Age range 16-17 (parental permission, office work only) and 18-older to visit patients. Training is required and will be given.

Hospice care is a unique approach which the patient and the family are the focus, not the disease. Hospice care helps patients, and their families make the most of the time that remains. The hospice team is a specially trained group of health care professionals caring for the patient and relieving anxiety for the caregiver/family. Our team helps with pain and symptom management, social, emotional and grief issues. We strive to bring comfort and quality to the remaining months, weeks and days.
