Recruiting Organization: Entitled Futures

Overview:

We are seeking board members to join our emotional competence consultancy and provide strategic leadership and guidance as we work to provide on-site therapy services to youth ages 12-25. The board member will work collaboratively with other board members to set the direction and goals of the organization.

Responsibilities:

• Provide strategic leadership and guidance to the organization
• Attend and participate in board meetings and committee meetings
• Collaborate with other board members to set goals and priorities
• Help to identify and secure funding opportunities for the organization
• Support the organization's fundraising and outreach efforts
• Help to build relationships with potential partners and clients
• Assist with other duties as assigned by the Board Chair or consultancy leadership team

Requirements:

• Experience serving on a board of directors or equivalent leadership experience
• Familiarity with the mental health field and the importance of emotional competence
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with others and provide constructive feedback
• A commitment to the values and mission of the emotional competence consultancy

Time Commitment:

• Minimum of a two-year commitment, with the option to renew
• Able to commit to attending at least 75% of board meetings and committee meetings
• Able to commit to volunteering an additional 5-7 hours per month on board-related activities
