Joining us at Garcia Park any Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday. Here we meet with participants to walk/run from 7:30am-8:30am. This is an opportunity to walk/jog/run with participants, often just being a listening ear. One Saturday a month we aim to provide a healthy breakfast to the group after the park training, meeting on the Haven for Hope Campus from 8:45am-9:30am.
The goal is to partner with a participant, working to create a positive human to human social connection. This can be a one time volunteer opportunity or recurring.
This opportunity supports S2F participants by building trust, encourages their physical movement, boosts mood, promotes healthy habits, creates a safe space for conversation, can aid as a positive distraction, and helps build consistency and routine.
We have walkers and runners of all paces, so truly anyone is welcome to join!
