Mission Statement
AID FOR AIDS is committed to improving the quality of life of people living with HIV/AIDS (PLWHA) in developing countries as well as those who are immigrants to the United States. We work to empower PLWHA, their caregivers, and the community at large by providing access to medications, health education, HIV prevention strategies and advocacy training.
Description
AID FOR AIDS began as an organization that provides HIV/AIDS medication to people living in developing countries who cannot afford treatment. Today, in addition to treatment access, AFA does advocacy training, capacity building and small business development in order to strengthen the communities we serve. We also provide counseling and referral services to immigrants living in the New York area.
