About Teen Health Journals

Location:

Princeton, Princeton, NJ, NJ 08540, GB

Mission Statement

This program aims to provide young people passionate about science with enhanced access to education, laboratory experiences, and individualized research opportunities. Throughout the school year, students will delve deeply into biology and chemistry, engage in hands-on labs, and ultimately conduct and present their own research projects. Our goal is to create an inclusive science program open to students from various schools, age groups, and backgrounds. Participants will test multiple labs, analyze data, and compile research papers. They will also undertake a final research project, exploring a topic of personal interest and developing an interactive component for peer engagement.

Description

We are launching this program to provide opportunities and develop science skills for young people who may lack access to such resources in their current educational settings. By offering this initiative, we aim to help those interested in STEM careers or science in general build fundamental skills and deepen their understanding of scientific concepts.

This effort is important because students with a passion for science often face barriers to accessing the resources they need for meaningful research. From our own experience, we only had access to introductory courses like biology and chemistry in school, which offer a broad overview but basic skills. Providing access to individualized research opportunities can empower students to pursue science careers, allowing them to explore their studies in more creative and innovative ways.
