Mission Statement
To promote and support animal-assisted therapy and activities for K-12 students in public schools to enhance academic, social, emotional, and behavioral growth.
Description
At PetPalsNC, we believe in the transformative power of pet-assisted therapy to enhance the emotional and educational experiences of students in schools. Since 2007, our nonprofit organization has been dedicated to placing certified therapy dogs in K-12 public schools across the Triangle Area of North Carolina, providing students with unique opportunities for emotional support, stress relief, and increased engagement. Research has shown that interactions with therapy dogs can boost students' emotional well-being, increase engagement, and create a more positive school environment. We are committed to fostering these benefits through well-structured programs and dedicated volunteers.
