STEM Canada is a registered not-for-profit global program that specializes in an
advanced, bar-none STEM-based educational curriculum that emphasizes the
interconnected subject areas of science, technology, engineering, and math
(STEM). The STEM program is open to all students from preschool to high school
with the mission to deliver top-notch STEM literacy and application, designed to
teach students in the STEM fields, yielding globally competitive results.

Time commitment: 6 hours a week
Description: Are you excited about shaping the future of global education? We’re
looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join our international event planning team
for an upcoming Global Education Fair, where we’ll showcase our innovative
Medical Science and Engineering Academy's to a diverse audience. This is a
unique opportunity to gain invaluable experience, work alongside industry experts, and make a significant impact on the educational landscape. By
volunteering for 3 months, you’ll help create an engaging and memorable
experience for attendees while showcasing the transformative potential of our
innovation programming for students ages 7-17. Come be a part of this exciting
project and help us connect with parents, students and educators from around
the world!
Key Responsibilities:
Create compelling social media material such as images, videos, and text
to advertise virtual education events worldwide on platforms like
Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, and Instagram.
Create and implement social media plans that are in line with event
objectives and cater to the preferences of the target audience, which may
include content schedules and marketing efforts.
Monitor social media interactions, reply to comments and messages, and
actively interact with the online community to generate enthusiasm and
engagement.
Monitor and evaluate social media effectiveness, offering suggestions to
enhance interaction and audience reach.
Collaborate closely with the marketing and event teams to guarantee
consistent messaging and alignment with the event's goals.
Keep yourself informed about current social media trends and best
strategies to guarantee that your content stays relevant and impactful.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a Social Media Creator or similar role, with a strong
portfolio of successful social media campaigns.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English. Proficiency in
additional languages is a plus.
Demonstrated ability to create engaging multimedia content across
various platforms.
Strong understanding of social media analytics and tools, with the ability
to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
Creative mindset with the ability to think outside the box and develop
innovative social media strategies.
Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to
manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
Passion for STEM education and commitment to promoting STEM literacy
and application.
Experience with graphic design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite)
and video editing software is preferred.
Cultural sensitivity and ability to engage with a diverse global audience. Benefits:
