Are you ready to embark on the rewarding and beneficial experience of hospice volunteering!?
Our Hospice Volunteers are an integral part of supporting the patient and their caregivers through direct and non direct patient care activities, including: Companionship, Listening, Reading, Art/Music enrichment, running errands, assisting with light yard work or household tasks, brief respite for the caregivers or even administrative tasks in the office such as filing, answering phones etc.
We are partners with the TN Promises Program.
Our volunteers must be 18 years of age, have a valid driver's license and current car insurance. You will have to complete a Volunteer Application, in person as well as complete a training course, you will also have to clear a mandatory background check and a TB skin test. I know it may seem like a lot of steps, but please keep in mind, you will be in the presence of some of your community's most vulnerable residents, so we have to remain cautious and vigilant to protect them. If Hospice Volunteering seems like something you may be interested in please don't hesitate to reach out today!
