United in Service: TMC Los Angeles Service Platoon

For our annual United in Service campaign, The Mission Continues Service Platoons across the country have organized service projects for veterans and local volunteers to come together, make an impact in their community, and honor those who served and sacrificed in the wake of 9/11.

This year, the Los Angeles Platoon will gather to clean and maintain 11 acres of sacred grounds at Woodlawn Celestial Gardens, paying tribute to those who have served and sacrificed for our country. Our tasks will include cleaning graves, cutting vines from fences, trimming trees, and placing flags on veterans' graves. Additionally, we may replace some grave markers to ensure every veteran's legacy is preserved. Together, we will uphold the values of service and remembrance, showing our gratitude and respect for those who have dedicated their lives to protecting our freedom.

Everyone is welcome! Whether you're a landscaping enthusiast or simply eager to lend a hand for a good cause, your presence will make a difference. Be sure to wear clothes that can get dirty and closed-toe shoes. The Mission Continues will be providing free lunch to all volunteers.
