As a Food Server, you'll help provide nutritious meals for our participants, which include young parents and their children. Responsibilities include serving, and cleanup, ensuring a smooth and pleasant dining experience for all. As a Childcare Volunteer, you'll support our program by engaging with toddlers and infants while their parents participate in sessions. Duties involve playing, reading, comforting, and maintaining a safe, clean environment for the children. Mission Statement

At NCFC, our mission is to improve child, parent, and community outcomes through education, employment, and health by creating a sustainable infrastructure for success.

Description

The Nicholtown Child and Family Collaborative (NCFC) enhances the lives of children, parents, and the community through education, employment support, and health initiatives. Our mission is to create a sustainable infrastructure for family success. The Parent CafĂ© offers bi-monthly workshops for parents and children aged 10-17 at Sterling School in Greenville, SC, focusing on skills, community issues, and resources. The Nurturing Skills for Young Parents (NSYP) program supports young parents aged 13-24 with evidence-based practices to promote positive parenting and healthy development, allowing them to earn Baby Bucks for essential items. Volunteers are essential, assisting in roles such as supporting the Children’s Area, meal donations and service, session facilitation, donation sorting, and special events. Founded in 2012 as the Nicholtown Early Learning Taskforce, NCFC now runs a two-generation community center in Greenville, SC, dedicated to improving child outcomes and offering comprehensive family support, with expanded services and the NSYP program launched in 2023.
