Join us in making our Community Halloween Festival Fundraiser a spooky and fun-filled event for kids and families! We're looking for enthusiastic volunteers to help with our haunted house and various festival activities. Several positions are available, and we need your help!

Setup Crew

Date: October 19
Time: 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Role: Assist in setting up the haunted house and decorating the space. Tasks include setting up props, arranging decorations, and preparing scare zones. Ideal for those who enjoy creative, hands-on work.

Festival Crew

Date: October 26
Time: 2:00 PM to 8:00 PM
Roles:

  • Ticket Taking: Welcome guests and check in tickets.
  • Line Management: Ensure smooth and organized lines for the haunted house.
  • Concession Sales: Assist in selling snacks and beverages.
  • Haunted House Guide: Lead guests through the haunted house, ensuring a safe and enjoyable experience.
  • Other Duties: Various tasks as needed to ensure the festival runs smoothly.

Break Down Crew

Date: November 2
Time: 10:00 AM to 3:00 PM
Role: Help take down the haunted house decorations and store them properly. Additionally, assist in setting up for the "Painting Pumpkins in the Park" event.

Volunteers help DCG provide help us continue to provide low cost to no cost children's programing throughout the year to children across the United States. Our 501(3)c non-profit focuses on building future leaders through mentorship, leadership and instilling team work through recreational programming and education. We are dedicated to our mission of being inclusive in sharing those critical childhood experiences and building blocks that help shape a child's life. For economically disadvantaged children, the opportunity to be submerged in these type of programs that help guide them as they grow older often evades them.

Discover Camp Garland was created with expertise from over 30 years of experience in a municipality recreation!

The goal for our programs are to provide campers a unique experience than what other camps may provide. Campers will enjoy a safe and comfortable play environment where participants will enjoy games and active activities, arts and music, field-trips, mentorship programs and more.
