About Habitat for Humanity of South Central New Jersey
Location:
530 Route 38 East, Maple Shade, NJ 08052, US
Mission Statement
Putting faith into action, Habitat for Humanity of South Central New Jersey brings people together to build homes, communities, and hope. Our vision is a world where everyone has a decent place to live.
Description
- Area: Burlington, Mercer, Atlantic, and Camden Counties as well as Cranbury and Plainsboro townships in Middlesex County.
- We partner with families to build and repair homes. Since 1987, we have built 374 new affordable homes, repaired 295, served over 1.1 million residents and operated four ReStores.
- Homeowner Programs:
- Affordable Homeownership
- The Homeownership Program is designed for low to moderate income families to purchase a home with an affordable mortgage. Our families work hard to create a permanent solution to their housing struggles. Each Habitat partner family must complete hours of sweat equity, work in our ReStore, and complete financial, budgeting, and credit education workshops.
- Neighborhood Revitalization
- The Neighborhood Revitalization Program is a locally operated program serving low-to-moderate-income homeowners who need assistance repairing or improving their homes. These improvements help to preserve homes and make them safer and more accessible, making neighborhoods become stronger, more resilient, and more sustainable.
- Affordable Homeownership
- ReStore
- The ReStore is a retail operation open to the public. When you shop at ReStore, you help Habitat help others. Visit to find bargain deals on brand new household items. Every dollar you spend will go toward our mission to build homes, communities, and hope. We have four ReStores: Hamilton, Maple Shade, Pennsauken, and Egg Harbor.
