Mission Statement
ISU’s 9/11 Day of Service program aims to support volunteers in engaging in community-based activities that will aid those who are affected by poverty and unite communities through service in North, Central, and Southeast Idaho on the September 11th Day of Service and Remembrance as well as throughout the year. In doing so, we hope there is a lasting drive in Idahoans to continue to serve their communities.
Description
In 2023, the Institute of Rural Health received grant funding from AmeriCorps under the Days of Service grant opportunities. This program, ISU’s 9/11 Day of Service program, is one of many AmeriCorps programs coming together to honor the lives and service of those lost that day. We invite community members of all types to join us in service throughout the state. Our program will be hosting at least 6 community events in the Pocatello, Boise, and North Idaho areas throughout the year. In remembrance of 9/11, we will also be hosting a week of events in each area.
