2025 Visitor Center Volunteers

ORGANIZATION: National Park Service

Volunteers will be part of our Visitor Experience and Education Team, providing visitor services which enable visitors to have a fulfilling and safe experience in Acadia National Park. Volunteers will primarily be

stationed at our Hulls Cove Visitor Center or at the Sieur de Monts Nature Center providing park information and answering visitor questions, though on occasion they may be assigned to other locations. Volunteers will have one-on-one conversations with visitors providing park information and answering questions pertinent to the park and Mount Desert Island in general. Volunteers may provide suggestions to visitors for enhancing their visits to Acadia National Park.


In addition, Volunteers will be asked to rove specific locations in the park to provide information and answer questions. Qualified volunteers may be given the opportunity to present programming to the public under the direction of their supervisor


Volunteers will be provided with a campsite, provided they volunteer 32 hours a week. The season length is preferably May 22 - October 10th, shorter 3-4 month seasons will be considered.

End Date - 2025-10-15
