About Us:

The Jehovah Jireh Community Development Center Inc. (JJ Center Inc.) is a nonprofit organization dedicated to serving families in Washington, DC, particularly in Ward 8. We provide essential services including a food pantry, scholarships, elderly literacy and technology programs, and health and wellness classes.

Role Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and creative volunteer to join our team as a Newsletter Content Creator. This role involves helping to start and craft our new monthly newsletter to keep our community and supporters updated on our initiatives, events, and achievements.

Responsibilities:

* Develop and write compelling content for our new monthly newsletters.

* Collaborate with our team to gather relevant information and updates.

* Design and format newsletters using Canva or similar tools, as well as email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact).

* Ensure newsletters align with our organization’s branding and messaging.

* Edit and proofread content for clarity, grammar, and accuracy.

* Manage the distribution of newsletters to our subscriber list.

Requirements:

* Strong writing and editing skills.

* Proficiency in Canva or similar design tools.

* Experience with email marketing platforms (e.g., Mailchimp, Constant Contact) is a plus.

* Creativity and attention to detail.

* Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

* Excellent communication skills.

Commitment:

* We ask for a minimum commitment of 5-10 hours per month.

* The initial commitment period is 6 months, with the possibility of extension based on mutual agreement.
