  • 4 people are interested

York County Reads seeks dedicated board members to oversee our fledgling nonprofit. Our mission is to provide no- to low-cost literacy instruction to under-served struggling readers to enable them to become successful readers. We do this through training long-term volunteer tutors in science-based literacy instruction. We have had incredible success so far, but want to have an even greater impact.

We are based in Rock Hill/ Fort Mill/ Tega Cay

The board meets monthly. We ask that you also get involved in awareness events and fundraising. Some skills we are looking for in our new boardmembrs are: accounting for nonprofits, board developement, grant writing, fundraising, human resources, volunteer recruitment and development, and a general enthusiasm for literacy and reading!
