AmeriCorps Members serving as Literacy Tutors are required to complete 675-900hours of service for a 9-month commitment from September 2024 - May 2025 serving at one of sixteen local schools the Las Vegas downtown urban core.
The ReInvent Schools Las Vegas (RSLV) AmeriCorps program’s vision is to improve academic excellence for every child by creating a strong collective culture among students, families, and educators to ensure academic achievement and lifelong success for every child.
AmeriCorps Members will serve as Literacy Tutors providing K-5 students at one of 16 RSLV elementary schools literacy enrichment and one-on-one instruction on literacy development.
900 hour position
- Service Dates: September 2024 - May 2025
- Stipend is up to $14,640.63 for the 9-month term ($732.03 bi-weekly)
- Education Award: $3,697.50
- Required hours: During the school day for 30 hours per week
675 hour position
- Service Dates: September 2024 - May 2025
- Stipend is up to $10,800 for the 9-month term ($540.00 bi-weekly)
- Education Award: $2,817.14
- Required hours: During the school day for 22.5 hours per week
