Role and Responsibilities:As a Hospice Bereavement Support Volunteer, you will offer comfort and support to grieving families through follow-up calls and assist with bereavement mailings. Your duties will include:
- Making regular phone calls to check in on bereaved families
- Listening empathetically and providing emotional support
- Offering information about available resources and support groups
- Documenting interactions and any concerns to share with the bereavement team
- Assisting with the preparation and mailing of bereavement materials
- Providing a caring and non-judgmental presence
- A fulfilling and meaningful volunteer experience
