Overview

Impact Gen is for first-generation college students and college graduates from all Mission Graduates programs. Impact Gen’s purpose is to cultivate and bridge local talent to SF employers by creating a community where young professionals get the support they need to prepare for and connect to internship-to-job pipelines. Connecting young professionals to liveable wage jobs gives them and their families the option to stay and thrive in SF.

Mentorship Overview

Mentorship opportunities are essential for first-gen young professionals, as they do career exploration, and build their skills. The role of mentors is to provide support and guidance by sharing professional tools and resources with mentees. Mentors can share personal and professional experiences navigating college, post-undergrad, and the workplace.

Details

Impact Gen is a 10-week virtual program, consisting of 17+ professional development workshops, 3 career panels, and 8 weeks of mentorship. Mentors and mentees are expected to meet at least one hour per week for eight weeks. The day and time are decided between mentors/mentees, as long as it works for both parties.
