Bristol Hospice is seeking therapy pets of almost all kinds and their humans for one-on-one pet therapy and companionship visits with some of our patients.

Together, you and your pet can make a difference in the lives of those on their final journeys.

When you volunteer with Bristol Hospice, you receive full training, ongoing support from your Volunteer Coordinator/Supervisor and the opportunity to learn more about hospice while being a support to your patient(s) and their families.

Volunteers are carefully matched with patients based on need, location and mutual interests. You can commit to as little as an hour a week or more if you would like!

About Bristol Hospice Green Bay

Location:

2450 Velp Avenue Ste 101, Green Bay, WI 54303, US

Mission Statement

Bristol Hospice is graciously committed to our mission that all patients and families entrusted to our care will be treated with the highest level of compassion, respect, and quality of care.

Description

Bristol Hospice provides hospice services to meet the physical, psycho-social, and spiritual needs of individuals at the end of life. We focus on an individualized plan of care which may include, as appropriate, the following services: nursing, physicians, hospice aides, spiritual support, therapy, dietary, counseling, volunteers, durable medical equipment, supplies, bereavement services and medications related to the terminal illness.

Volunteers are an important part of the hospice model. Volunteers provide special compassionate presence and support to our patients and family in ways that only a volunteer can. When a volunteer visits a patient, they are visiting the patient because they want to be there. It's not a job or an obligation. That is a powerful action for our patients and families!
