Purpose: Outreach & Engagement volunteers represent Wild Paws and our mission. Duties may include set up and/or teardown of booths, interaction with the public, handing out educational materials and Wild Paws merchandise. Specific tasks assigned specific to the event.
Location: Various offsite locations including Twin Cities, Duluth, other Minnesota and Wisconsin regions. Events can have duration of 1-day, 2-day weekend or more days. Event may be located outside i.e. in a park or inside a building i.e. convention center.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborating on new ideas, directions and venues for outreach opportunities
- Research new outreach opportunities and participate in hosting booths and selling merchandise
- Availabilities for shift coverage at outreach booths, and educating the public about Wild Paws and our Mission
Qualifications:
- Interest in wildlife species and conservation and rescue, sustaining the environment, and education of the public
- Solid oral and written communication skills
- Ability to communicate in a professional manner with press and community contacts
- Experience working with Point of Sale platforms, i.e. the Square
- Self-motivated, good organizational skills, detail-oriented, ability to prioritize, multi-task and meet deadlines, time and asset management skills
- Interest in nonprofit marketing and communications
Time commitment: Minimum of 4-8 hours per month

Description
Wild Paws Midwest Animal Sanctuary is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to saving the lives of wild animals. We are a collection of animal lovers passionate about protecting our resources for today and beyond.
Our team has decades of animal rescue and keeping experience collectively, and includes an experienced and passionate veterinarian, a board of directors that have all volunteered or worked for numerous years at other animal organizations, and a variety of talented volunteers all bringing their broad expertise to this organization.
