  • 3 people are interested

We are an established group of passionate family members, professors, agency providers, self-advocates, and more who work to see our schools and the community thrive with individuals with disabilities learning and enjoying life with their neurotypical peers. We know how to make this happen successfully. We need help to run events, provide parent collaboration on IEPs, collaborate with teachers and others.

718 ARCH STREET 600N, PHILADELPHIA, PA 19106, US

Mission Statement

PEAC promotes education that includes ALL learners by collaborating with families, people with disabilities, schools, colleges, universities, and other stakeholders to create inclusive communities.

Description

PEAC believes in an inclusive world where individuals of all backgrounds and abilities are valued members of their communities. This is achieved through an annual conference focused on the "how to" achieve a successful and effective inclusive education and family environments. We facilitate IEP clinic where families can have their IEP documents reviewed by professionals and experts in the field and offered suggestions and resources to strengthen the documents. We have parent consultants and self-advocates who tell their stories to higher education classes and school district faculties. We pride ourselves as the bridge to resources and networks for educators and families.
