Habitat AmeriCorps is part of the growing national service movement. AmeriCorps members serve a term of 10.5 to 12 months in the field and in the office to build and repair homes, expand housing services, and engage the community. A service term with Habitat provides hands-on nonprofit experience that allows members to learn and develop lifelong skills and confidence. Members serve a critical role in helping Habitat homeowners achieve the strength, stability and self-reliance they need to build a better future for themselves and their families.

AmeriCorps National Position (10.5 months; 40hrs/wk)

  • Habitat ReStore Outreach & Engagement Coordinator

Description

Habitat for Humanity Portland Region serves Multnomah County, east Washington County, and northern Clackamas County and has the ability to reach out to families one step away from homelessness. Habitat sells homes to hardworking people in need of decent, affordable housing. We are an independent affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, a non-denominational Christian housing ministry and global home-building movement. We welcome people from all walks of life to partner with our program to serve families in need with generosity, humility, and love.
