Big Brothers Big Sisters is seeking dedicated volunteers to participate in our site-based mentoring program at Georgetown Elementary School for the upcoming 2024-2025 school year.
As a site-based mentor, you will have the opportunity to spend four hours a month at Georgetown Elementary School, providing guidance, support, and friendship to a child who can benefit immensely from your time and attention. This program not only enriches the lives of the children involved but also fosters a sense of community and connection within our organization.
No previous mentoring experience is necessary-all you need is a willingness to make a positive impact and a commitment to helping a child reach their full potential. By becoming a mentor, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of our community, one child at a time.
If you are interested in joining us as a site-based mentor at Georgetown Elementary School or would like more information about the program, please contact Erin Griffin/Regional Program Manager @404-470-9388 or email me egriffin@bbbschattvalley.org.
Thank you for considering this opportunity to give back to your community and help inspire the next generation of leaders. Together, we can create brighter futures for our children.

Mission Statement
To create and support one-to-one mentoring relationships that ignite the power and promise of youth.
Description
Big Brothers Big Sisters of America is the oldest mentoring program around with over 110 years of service with approximately 300 agencies nationally and internationally. We provide free one-to-one mentoring for children in the community. We match children with a volunteer also known as a Big Brother or a Big Sister based on the gender of the child. We ask that our Big Brothers and Big Sisters spend at least 8 hours a month with the Little. We encourage the Bigs to incorporate the Little’s hobbies as well as their own into fun inexpensive activities.
