We are looking for detail-oriented, friendly and organized volunteers to help in our mailroom at UChicago Medicine GlenOaks Hospital on Tuesday and/or Friday afternoons.
Under the supervision of the Manager of Volunteer Services, volunteers will be responsible for sorting mail and delivering it throughout the hospital. Volunteers should be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and enjoy meeting and talking with people.
Volunteers must be at least 16 years old, have excellent customer-service skills and be dependable.
Volunteer perks include free flu vaccines, free meal and/or snack when you are volunteering, annual recognition event and awards ceremony, recognition on your birthday and anniversary and throughout the year and the opportunity to make new friends. Most importantly, you will know that you are helping your community.

* Be at least 16 years old
* Be physically able to work on selected assignments
* Commit to a regular schedule of two to four hours a week for a minimum of six months
* Provide proof of immunizations and/or be willing to receive any necessary immunizations free of charge, including COVID-19
* Attend all training and in-service sessions as required by the Volunteer Department.
