New Narratives Community envisions a future in which Israelis and Palestinians live together in peace, friendship, cooperation, and collaboration. A future where everyone has the opportunity to pursue their dreams in freedom and without limitations. Where both peoples understand each other and acknowledge past struggles and painful traumas. So that we can connect from a place of humanity to heal ourselves from this enmity that has left us all in turmoil.

New Narratives Community will integrate a robust methodology and the power of human transformation in its work to pave the way for a breakthrough in the flow of conversation and human interaction in the Israeli-Palestinian story. We will be working on studying the flow of the current patterns of conversation to uncover the glitch in the conversation. A glitch that has left this conflict in its current impasse and the vicious cycle of violence. Where is the missing link?

We are looking for volunteers to help us with this endeavour. Volunteer work will involve researching and following the patterns of conversation in regard to the various issues present in the Israeli-Palestinian story. Using the insights obtained through research, the volunteer team will create practical initiatives to transform the conversations among Israeli and Palestinian communities.

We are very excited to offer an extraordinary journey to our volunteers. We will be forming a close-knit community of volunteers who dwell in a space of inquiry and possibility in regards to this conflict. Volunteers will choose the area they want to research and will share their findings with the group in monthly meetings. Aside from this research, we will be discussing themes as part of film screenings and book discussions; occasions that will be held exclusively for our volunteers.

Framework of the volunteer opportunities:

· Selecting a research area to work on;

· Researching and following the flow of conversation in the area of your choice, identifying missing links;

· Providing updates to the group in monthly meetings;

· Participating in initiatives such as film discussions and book discussions designed specifically for volunteers;

· Participating in drafting and development of documents and proposals.

Required qualifications:

We require that our volunteers be 18 years of age or older.

A deep interest in the Israeli-Palestinian story and a passion to create transformation in the lives of human beings.

The willingness to make a commitment to their area of research and to maintain this commitment to bring the project to fruition.

Experience conducting quantitative and/or qualitative research is desired but not required. We will provide guidance and direction to interested participants.

The willingness and commitment to participate in initiatives designed for volunteers and volunteer development including film discussions, book discussions, and monthly meetings.

Participation in brainstorming meetings to generate, plan, and organize events and initiatives.

If you are interested in this opportunity, please send us an email to info@newnarrativescommunity.com so that we can provide you with more information about the application process.

We look forward to hearing from you.
