We Need You- Volunteerism at the Y

Position Summary: This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. We are looking for those interested in volunteering on an ongoing basis with our YMCA after school programs to help coach youth soccer for grades K-8.

At the YMCA afterschool programs, we will be running a youth soccer curriculum called Soccer for Success. This curriculum gives coaches all the tools needed to plan and facilitate soccer practices where youth will learn soccer skills, as well as social emotional learning skills. This volunteer position would require you to fill a role as a coach as often as three times a week. Scheduling can be flexible, if you have concerns about meeting the requirements but would still like to help, please reach out to savannah.mckee@ymcasv.org
