Position Summary: This position supports the work of the Y, a leading nonprofit, charitable organization committed to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living and social responsibility. We are looking for those interested in volunteering on an ongoing basis with our YMCA after school programs to help coach youth soccer for grades K-8.

From January-May of 2025, the YMCA afterschool programs will be running a youth soccer curriculum called Soccer for Success. This curriculum gives coaches all the tools needed to plan and facilitate soccer practices where youth will learn soccer skills and social emotional learning skills. This volunteer position would require you to fill a role as a coach as often as three times a week. Essential Functions:

1. Actively engage with youth to create a fun, welcoming environment where they will learn soccer skills and social emotional learning skills.

2. Become trained in the Soccer for Success model, to incorporate their curriculum into your weekly training plans.

3. Work alongside after school leaders to plan and facilitate 60 minutes of practice, up to three times a week with your designated youth.

Qualifications: General soccer knowledge or interest, interest in helping youth and volunteering.
