NOT PAID VOLUNTEER POSITION
Project Accelerate, Girls Inc.’s college prep program, is seeking volunteer mentors to help high school girls with the college application process for the 2024- 2025 school year.
Junior Mentoring:Thursdays 5:30pm-7pm October-May
- Coach high school juniors in small group settings through their college search process. You’ll cover topics such as essay writing, interview skills, and scholarship research, nurture girls’ academic interests, and share your own experiences. Dinner is included.
Senior Mentoring:Tuesdays 6pm-7pm September-May
- Be matched with a high school senior, who you will support throughout their college application process and transition into college, putting into action the skills they gained in the previous year. Dinner is included.

Since 1942, Girls Inc. of Lynn has responded to the changing needs of girls and their families by providing essential resources and challenging programs to disadvantaged, low-income girls. We serve over a thousand girls every year.
Girls Inc. of Lynn is a local affiliate of the national Girls Inc. organization with roots dating back to 1864. The national organization provides vital educational programs to millions of girls in America and Canada, particularly those in high-risk, under-served areas. Girls Inc. of Lynn is proud to be part of a national movement dedicated to improving the lives of girls and consequently bettering their communities and the entire country.
Girls Inc. of Lynn inspires all girls to be strong, smart and bold through life-changing programs and experiences that help girls navigate gender, economic and social barriers. Research-based curricula, delivered by trained, mentoring professionals in a positive all-girl environment equip girls to achieve academically, lead healthy and physically active lives, manage money, navigate media messages, and discover an interest in science, technology, engineering and math.
