ORGANIZATION: National Park Service

  • A group opportunity. Invite your friends.

National Public Lands Day celebrates the connection between people and green space in their community, inspires environmental stewardship, and encourages the use of open space for education, recreation, and health benefits. Every year, Gateway Arch National Park commemorates this special day by hosting a Riverfront Cleanup .

This year's cleanup will be 9 to noon. The event is organized by Gateway Arch National Park, Gateway Arch Park Foundation, Missouri River Cities & Towns Initiative, Beyond Plastics, Missouri Stream Team, Republic Services and Living Lands & Waters. To register for the volunteer riverfront cleanup, follow this link. You must make an account on Volunteerhub to register.

Training, gloves, and garbage bags will be provided before the clean-up begins. A limited number of garbage picker sticks are also available. Due to limited budget, please reserve these for people who may need them.
