Celestial Manna
Celestial Manna is a faith-based 501 (c) (3) food recovery non-profit founded in 1986. Our primary mission is to help our neighbors who are food insecure. We recover food from grocery stores, restaurants and local farms that would otherwise be discarded and we share the harvest to communities affected by poverty.
Summary
Celestial Manna is seeking a strategic and visionary Vice President of Supply Chain to lead our supply chain operations. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of driving efficiency, optimizing logistics, and implementing best practices in supply chain management. Job Objectives
Develop and execute a comprehensive supply chain strategy aligned with Celestial Manna's goals and objectives.
Lead and mentor a team of supply chain and logistic professionals, providing guidance and fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
Collaborate with executive leadership, finance and operations teams to ensure alignment of supply chain strategies with overall business objectives.
Oversee procurement, logistics, inventory management, and distribution operations to maximize efficiency and minimize costs.
Implement continuous improvement initiatives to enhance supply chain processes, reduce lead times, and improve service levels.
Monitor and analyze supply chain metrics and KPIs to identify opportunities for improvement and drive performance optimization.
Develop and manage relationships with community partners
Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards in supply chain practices.
Requirements:
Proven experience as a senior leader in supply chain management, preferably in food distribution or non-profit
Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
Demonstrated success in developing and implementing supply chain strategies that deliver measurable business results.
Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to influence and collaborate effectively across departments and levels of the organization.
Strategic thinker with excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Experience with supply chain technologies and systems.
Celestial Manna feeds the hungry by providing them with free food that is locally donated. We give monthly support to more than 20,000 people in the Washington, DC metropolitan region stretching from north of Baltimore through Prince George's and Montgomery Counties Maryland, and south to northern Virginia.

Celestial Manna tries to help people from all walks of life; these individuals range from blue-collar workers, low-income families, single-parent households and diverse ethnicities. Hunger is not the only challenge these people face. In addition to a network of food redistribution, Celestial Manna provides support to people in need of clothing.
