Description:
As a Community Outreach Volunteer, you will play a key role in raising awareness about PAX Learning Center’s mission. By working closely with our team, you will expand our reach by attending community events, managing information booths, and building relationships with local organizations. Your efforts will directly help connect individuals to our educational programs and services, driving our mission forward.
In this role, you will collaborate with our staff to identify outreach opportunities, represent PAX at events, and share information about our programs. You'll also assist in organizing special events and contribute to building long-lasting partnerships with community organizations. Your feedback will be valuable as we continuously strive to improve our outreach strategies.

Mission Statement
PAX Learning Center was created by a group of dedicated educators and community members who see an increasing need to help those who dropped out of high school and are struggling day to day to survive. We at PAX are dedicated to assisting individuals who have not completed their requirements to attain a high school diploma in the Vancouver Metro area. We seek to provide academic and job skills training to these individuals in order for them to have the opportunity to walk their preferred path, whether it be higher education or a career.
Description
PAX Learning Center is a 501 c(3) nonprofit organization that aims to assist individuals who are in the lower socioeconomic tier and help them get onto their preferred path, whether that be higher education or a career. PAX is a newly established organization and is looking to grow within the Vancouver community. Currently, PAX offers tutoring services to a number of partnerships within the community to help people attain their GED. As we continue to grow, we look to host a number of programs which will include classes for GED preparation as well as career building and internship programs. In tandem with tutoring, we are also looking for volunteers who would be interested in helping the PAX Development team with different projects such as fundraising events, grant writing, marketing, and more. If you are a student looking for an opportunity to hone your craft or have a co-op requirement for a class in either of these categories, please reach out to us! We are happy to have anybody on our team who seeks to help this population, they really need our help.
