Recycle runners are volunteer(s) that take a cargo van load of carboard to the recycling center in Brooklyn Park. Volunteers help load up the van at Joyce Uptown Foodshelf and then help unload the van at the recycling center. This volunteer opportunity lasts from 90 minutes to two hours.

Joyce Uptown Foodshelf's mission is to distribute food to those in need, with respect and dignity.

Description

Joyce Uptown Foodshelf (JUFS) is a people centered, no questions asked food shelf in the heart of Uptown Minneapolis. Since 1969 JUFS has provided food for those in need throughout the South Minneapolis community. With a budget of $300,000 and 5 staff (3 FTEs), JUFS serves over 600 households with 55,000 pounds of food each month.
