About Young STEAMers: Young STEAMers is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) enrichment programs to children from low-income families. Our mission is to inspire and empower the next generation of innovators by making STEAM education accessible and engaging for all.
Position Overview: We are seeking a passionate and dynamic Outreach Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in sales, a deep passion for STEAM education, and a love for children. The Outreach Coordinator will be responsible for building and maintaining partnerships with organizations, schools, and community groups to expand the reach and impact of our programs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and Implement Outreach Strategies: Create and execute outreach plans to identify and engage potential partner organizations, schools, and community groups.
- Build and Maintain Relationships: Establish and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, including educators, community leaders, and potential donors.
- Promote STEAM Programs: Effectively communicate the mission and value of Young STEAMers' programs to diverse audiences.
- Coordinate Events and Workshops: Organize and manage events, workshops, and presentations to promote STEAM education and Young STEAMers' initiatives.
- Collaborate with Internal Teams: Work closely with program coordinators, volunteers, and marketing teams to ensure cohesive and effective outreach efforts.
- Track and Report Progress: Monitor outreach activities, collect data, and provide regular reports on the impact and success of outreach initiatives.
Qualifications:
- Passion for STEAM and Education: A deep commitment to the mission of Young STEAMers and a genuine interest in STEAM education.
- Sales and Outreach Experience: Proven experience in sales, outreach, or community engagement, preferably in an educational or nonprofit setting.
- Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences.
- Interpersonal Skills: Strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- STEAM Background: Educational background or work experience in a STEAM-related field.
- Nonprofit Experience: Previous experience working in a nonprofit organization.
- Bilingual: Conversational Spanish is a plus.
