More than 90 agencies throughout The Archdiocese of New York provide $850 million in services to 400,000 New Yorkers in need each year. This is the important work of the Catholic Charities of New York Federation - to care for those in need whether they are Catholic or non-Catholic.

These services touch the widest range of human needs: children and youth, families and responding to crisis, welcoming and integrating immigrants, supporting those with disabilities, & food and housing. Ten agencies, referred to as the Catholic Charities Alliance, represent about one-third of the services delivered each year.

An increasingly important role in this work is the support and oversight provided by the Boards of
Directors of these non-profit agencies. Maintaining and enhancing high-quality programs and services requires an attentive, dedicated and generous Board of Directors.
