About Gaining Freedom Incorporated

Location:

PO Box 16922, Charlotte, NC 28297, US

Mission Statement

" We believe that we are all imperfect, and all make mistakes. Some mistakes are of a higher magnitude, and as a consequence, results in incarceration. However, our belief is that once the debt is paid, IT IS PAID! It is therefore the mission of GAINING FREEDOM INCORPORATED that once an individual has paid their debt, regardless of being male or female, to assist them in gaining their freedom mentally, economically, socially, and domestically. Once the legal debt has been paid, an individual should not indefinitely be imprisoned by it. "

Description

Our organization has a two-fold goal. Primarily we assist released felons reintegrate into society. Second, equally if not more important, we provide mentorship for the teenage children of both released and incarcerated felons, with the goal of assisting them to remain on a Straight Path to success in order to minimize the possibility of becoming a generational felon. If they are academically inclined we strive to assist them in securing financial assistance for college. If their goal is not to go to college, we strive to help them in whatever positive post high school vocation they choose. During the early teenage years, through high school we provide a mentorship program for them.
